Cristian Arriaga, a freshman at TAMUCC majoring in biomedical science, is currently enthusiastic about making a positive impact in early cancer detection through research in Hooshmand's lab. In his free time, he enjoys college football, sailing with the A&M Corpus race team, meeting new people, and exploring the outdoors.
Ciara Bohn, a sophomore majoring in Environmental Science and Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics, is passionate about conservation and environmental research. Her focus is on accelerating photosynthesis by modifying the enzyme RuBisCO to adapt to high carbon dioxide levels. While her experience is primarily in field and office settings, she is eager to gain lab skills and contribute to research.
Briana Chavez is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi majoring in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology, along with a minor in Chemistry. She is passionate about going into research to ultimately help people. She is excited to start her research journey in Hooshmand's lab, and work together to contribute to the community.
Frances Cruz is a second-year student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi majoring in Chemistry. She is passionate about learning new things and being able to teach others. She is excited to begin research in Hooshmand’s lab and take the first step into the future. Her hobbies include reading books and baking.
TK Huynh is a freshman at TAMUCC studying nuclear engineering with an interest in aerospace and nanotechnology. He aims to research early-stage cancer detection and treatment using nanoplasmonics and looks forward to collaborating with Hooshmand's lab to further their research in this exciting nanoparticle field.
Rogelio Pena is an undergraduate student at TAMUCC majoring in nuclear engineering who is strongly interested in cancer research and the biomedical field. His focus is to use nanoparticles to develop further cancer research. He is eager to contribute to the biomedical community and use this opportunity to learn more about research
Owen Wrigley is an undergraduate student at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi studying electrical engineering, with a strong interest in electromagnetics and power systems, and is passionate about solving complex problems and driving innovation, looking forward to working in Hooshmand's lab and making meaningful contributions to the scientific community.
